#### Public Affairs Manager
**Location:** Washington, DC
**Schedule:** Hybrid after first 90 days

As a **Government Relations Specialist II** at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the company’s government relations strategy. You will build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for Honeywell’s interests in the Energy & Sustainability sector.

Key responsibilities include monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, analyzing their impact on the company, and developing strategies to address potential demands and opportunities. You will report directly to the **Director of External Communications** and work out of our Washington, DC location on a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will significantly impact Honeywell’s government relations efforts and its ability to navigate the complex landscape of policies and regulations in the Energy & Sustainability sector.

This position will support our **Fluorine Products (FP)** business by working on advocacy campaigns that address legislative, regulatory, and business compliance needs. You will also contribute to various public affairs, issue management, government relations, and regulatory support efforts.

### Key Responsibilities
– Develop advocacy messaging and support legislative and regulatory efforts, emphasizing the economic and market benefits of Honeywell products.
– Staff policy- and regulatory-focused speaking engagements.
– Arrange and staff panel presentations at select conferences.
– Develop and implement campaigns to differentiate Honeywell solutions in the marketplace.
– Provide crisis and issue management support.
– Research and track trends to identify potential issues.
– Coordinate communication efforts with key associations.
– Support branding and market positioning initiatives.
– Develop paid media content for senior communications leadership.
– Enhance executive positioning and visibility through thought leadership.
– Organize and manage Lobbyist Toolkits and advocacy collaterals.

**Annual Base Salary Range:** $110,000 – $120,000
This salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending offers, including scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market considerations.

**Application Period:** Estimated at 40 days from posting date, subject to adjustment based on business needs.

### You Must Have
– 5+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related field
– Strong knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulations
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
– Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
