THE OPPORTUNITY

SAFE is an action-oriented, nonpartisan organization committed to transportation and energy policy solutions to ensure the economic and national security of the United States, its partners, and allies. Since its launch in 2005, SAFE has worked with its Energy Security Leadership Council—a peerless coalition of current and former Fortune 500 CEOs and retired 4-star admirals and generals—to support secure, resilient, and responsible energy solutions. SAFE’s work has expanded past its original focus on reducing America’s oil dependence to encompass global transportation, energy policy, and supply chain challenges. In supporting strengthened alliances, transparency, and reindustrialization, SAFE advances an ambitious vision from the first raw materials to the very last mile.
SAFE’s Coalition for Reimagined Mobility (ReMo) is an initiative of SAFE, advancing policies and solutions to drive system-level transformation in transportation by developing and scaling advanced mobility technologies for a 21st-century system that is safe, secure, and efficient. ReMo convenes stakeholders, conducts research, publishes reports, and leads education campaigns to catalyze economic growth, strengthen national security, and spur innovation that enhances how people and goods move.
