Senior Manager, Internal Communications

Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid)


Responsibilities:

  • Lead in development and implementation of corporate communications processes to ensure effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Write content for bi-weekly internal newsletter, Lungs@Work.
  • Create content for monthly global newsletter, Lung News Monthly.
  • Interview storytellers and write content for various direct mail pieces, including Impact Stories.
  • Develop and implement internal communication procedures, systems, and processes.
  • Project manage and write the Annual Report and copy for the 990.
  • Write and edit for blogs and other projects.
  • Manage copyright permissions and external licensing requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5 – 8 years of communications experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of effective communication principles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and recommend courses of action.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and multitask.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong PowerPoint skills. Design skills a plus.
  • Ability to work individually or on a team with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen understanding of current marketing trends.
  • Travel: Less than 5%.

Compensation:

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The target hiring range for this position is between $67,000 and $92,000 per annum.

  • Paid Leave: 10 vacation days in the first year (15 days thereafter), 2 personal days, and 15 sick days per year. 12 company-paid holidays per year. Paid Parental Leave for eligible employees.
