### DESCRIPTION

Work hard, have fun and make history with Amazon Public Policy. The Senior Manager, Public Policy will develop and execute advocacy state and local strategies and policy initiatives in support of Amazon’s policy priorities including technology, privacy and artificial intelligence, and other key issues. You will work collaboratively across Amazon’s public policy teams to analyze and coordinate policy issues across all state legislatures and regulatory bodies. This position will also be responsible for leading engagements with trade associations, think tanks, advocacy groups, and other relevant external stakeholders.

The Senior Manager will work collaboratively across public policy, our businesses, public relations, and legal teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals. They will assess and anticipate public policy matters across all states, oversee and coordinate external advocacy efforts, and manage and coordinate key initiatives in concert with business objectives. As appropriate, the Senior Manager will be responsible for facilitating key meetings between executives and key stakeholders. The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Public Policy.

### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree required.
– At least 10 years of relevant public policy experience and a keen working understanding of the US state and local policymaking process and government relations.
– An ability and desire to travel is required.

### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Juris Doctorate, Master’s Degree, or other Advanced Degree preferred.
– Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate and political levels.
