Public Relations Senior Manager
The Public Relations Senior Manager reports to the Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations, supporting the Allergan Aesthetics product portfolio focused on Body Contouring, Plastic and Regenerative Medicine, and Skincare. The role oversees the end-to-end execution of key strategic public relations programs focused on supporting the organization’s direct-to-consumer and healthcare provider marketing efforts through media, social media influencer, and consumer education. The successful candidate for this position will provide additional in-house resources across the public relations team; develop materials and programs, manage the execution of public relations programs, oversee agency partners, and lead metrics reporting.
The Sr. Manager will work collaboratively with the Executive Director, influencer team, the public relations team, agency of record, and cross-functional marketing teams to create and deploy strategic public relations programs for CoolSculpting®, CoolTone®, SkinMedica® DiamondGlow®, LATISSE®, Natrelle®; developing and reviewing materials to ensure alignment with overall PR strategy; facilitating cross-functional collaboration with key opinion leaders; metrics reporting and analysis; and support of ad hoc projects for the injectables product portfolio.
The Sr. Manager also acts as a representative for assigned brands and will be expected to develop relationships with key members of the media, social media influencers, and agents to generate greater understanding and acceptance of brands growing the pool of strategically aligned talent interested in partnering with Allergan’s medical aesthetics brands.
Essential Job Functions:
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.
- Develops programs and materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all guidelines.
- Develop a solid knowledge of the products, key messages, and regulatory requirements for the full product portfolio.
- Learn the aesthetics market and media landscape, supporting ideation for and development of strategic PR programs.
- Oversees agency partners to ensure successful and timely implementation and execution of public relations programs.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with a competency in press release development, key message creation, and public speaking.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
- Possesses strong presentation skills and can confidently present plans, results reports, and analysis to leadership.
- Enforce & maintain brand guidelines, brand resources, and various brand assets.
- Helps support cross-functional collaboration across the cross-functional teams identifying partnership opportunities and efficiencies.
- Works closely with the social media influencer team to ensure strategic alignment for talent casting, content, and partnership opportunities.
- Manage Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance review and approval of all programs and materials.
- Manages Healthcare provider relationships and contracting.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism, related field, or equivalent from an accredited college or university, and 5-7 years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Willingness to travel 15 to 20% of the time.
- Agency experience a plus
- Knowledge of the Medical Aesthetic and pharmaceutical promotional guidance space a plus

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
