Position Purpose
We are seeking a versatile and creative Senior Specialist, Internal Communications to enhance how we connect and engage within our organization. This role is ideal for a generalist who excels in a variety of communication disciplines, balancing strategic communication planning with hands-on creative execution.
You will collaborate with corporate functions and primarily support the Technology team, crafting clear, compelling messaging while leveraging your visual design skills and capturing basic video footage on tools like an iPhone. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on communicator who’s ready to make an impact through strategic messaging and creative execution, all while championing engagement across the organization.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications, graphic design, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to craft engaging written and visual content tailored to specific audiences.
- Strong creativity and visual storytelling capabilities, with an ability to think outside the box.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with video editing and/or animation tools.
- Basic understanding of technology concepts and trends, with a passion for learning and communicating about them effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, building relationships, and managing stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- 25% Monitoring news and social media
- 20% Measurement, analysis, and reporting traditional and social media trends
- 10% Writing press materials (including press releases, media alerts, pitch materials)
- 15% Proactive media relations planning & execution (proactive pitching)
- 15% Researching/writing corporate site content
- 15% Respond to various local and trade media inquiries, managing vendors, payments, analysis of potential new vendors, and managing press release process (proofing/distribution), PR Email Inbox
Direct Manager/Direct Reports
Reports to a Sr Mgr, Corporate Communications
Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

- Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Minimum Education
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
