Position Summary

The Strategic Communications Writer/Editor will create and edit content to advance the Foundation’s mission across various channels. Reporting to the Senior Director, External Communications, this individual will develop narratives that reflect the organization’s goals and voice, collaborating across departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality communications that convey the Foundation’s mission effectively.
  • Tailor content for diverse audiences and channels, ensuring compliance with style guidelines.
  • Create messaging to support strategic initiatives and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments.
  • Track and improve content performance.
  • Provide project management support as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in strategic communications.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a focus on generating engaging content.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Curious and solution-oriented mindset, committed to continuous learning.
  • Experience with life science topics preferred.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Senior Director, External Communications. No direct reports.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment.
  • Minimal travel required.
