When You Join Verizon

You want more out of a career. A place to share your ideas freely — even if they’re daring or different. Where the true you can learn, grow, and thrive. At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work, and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together — lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always. Want in? Join the V Team Life.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Strategic Partnerships and Executive Communications Senior Manager, you will drive the direction for our company’s most senior storytellers. Where they show up, how they interact, and what they talk about.

You will be the V Teamer at the intersection of company and customer (and culture!), helping us leverage top company innovators and leaders to reach our most important stakeholders with impact and differentiation. The V Teamer in this role will use their deep understanding of what our external partners care about to elevate our executives (and our legacy story) and drive effective, breakthrough thought leadership across our core priorities — from customer-first products and programs and network innovation to AI and digital inclusion.

As part of the Verizon family, you will help shape how our CEO and Verizon Leadership Council (VLC) communicate, fostering trust and enhancing our brand’s reputation. Reporting to the AVP of Executive Stakeholder Engagement, you’ll be a vital part of a dynamic team of V Teamers laser-focused on building strong connections between people and our brand. This organization is charged with driving execution excellence and best-in-class engagements across all stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience developing and executing comprehensive and impactful thought leadership plans for C-suite leadership.
  • Willingness to travel 5% of the time, over weekends annually, and on short notice if needed.

Even Better if You Have One or More of the Following:

  • A degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications with experience working as a corporate communications professional.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to independently drive projects from concept through to strategy and execution with minimal supervision.
  • Previous exposure working with senior leaders and a strong understanding of executive protocols with an ability to maintain poise and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable of thriving in high-pressure and fast-paced environments with a high degree of flexibility.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
