Essential Functions
- Policy Development and Strategy Formulation
- Collaborate with NAB Board Members, DC Representatives, and stakeholders in the telecom/tech policy space.
- Formulate policy positions and strategies to advocate for the broadcast industry’s interests.
- Internal Communications
- Draft internal communications for NAB departments and member companies.
- Provide written summaries of policy issues, updates on legislative strategies, and power point presentations.
- Advocacy Document Drafting
- Create advocacy documents such as talking points, issue sheets, and white papers.
- Draft and redline legislative text and related materials.
- Hearing Preparation
- Assist in congressional and executive branch hearing preparation.
- Draft witness testimony, mock questions, and relevant issues papers.
- Government Relations Support
- Support the Government Relations team in meetings with Congress members, the Administration, and staff.
- Address substantive elements of broadcast policy issues.
- Advocacy Coordination
- Coordinate with the advocacy team to engage third-party groups supporting NAB advocacy.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Juris Doctorate degree.
- 10-13 years of related experience.
