Peer-to-peer programs are consistently listed as one of the most effective fundraising strategies in the Council’s PAC Benchmarking reports. Peer-to-peer isn’t just an impactful solicitation strategy, but also a great way to promote community. Successful programs need structure and consistency to achieve results and this workshop will show you how to do that.

This workshop will cover:

  • How to identify, train and incentivize peer champions while remaining compliant
  • Ways to track outreach and progress
  • Strategies for continuing to grow the program year after year
  • Case studies of successful programs

This program is eligible for 2 PAC credits toward the Certificate in PAC & Grassroots Management .

The Fundamentals of a Successful Peer-to-Peer Program

Building or expanding a peer-to-peer program to a high level of sophistication is no small task. Join us as we break down what it takes to create or enhance asuccessful peer-to-peer program. Hear from experts who use peer-to-peer as their top fundraising tool.  

In this opening session, we will cover: 

  • Why peer-to-peer is so effective and how to make a case for it in your organization 
  • The key elements of a peer-to-peer plan as well as goals and metrics to track success 
  • Activities to focus on as you launch or scale a program 
  • Setting long-term and short-term goals

Recruiting and Training Peer Champions 

Your PAC ambassadors are the heart and soul of your peer-to-peer program. Properly recruiting and training champions is critical to success. Our closing session will focus on laying the groundwork for a successful, yet manageable, program by identifying, recruiting and training your most supportive advocates. 

This session will cover: 

  • Identifying and recruiting peer champions — both starting from scratch and as your program matures 
  • Setting your volunteers up for success, including tips for managing peer champions 
  • Training tools so your peer solicitors stay effective and compliant
