The Boeing Company’s Federal Legislative Affairs division is seeking a Government Relations Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our team in Arlington, VA.
This dynamic role involves tracking and analyzing congressional, regulatory, and administrative matters that impact the Boeing Company. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive weekly summaries of legislative activities for the Government Operations (GovOps) team, maintain a detailed calendar of congressional sessions, and may be tasked with monitoring hearings on Capitol Hill. This position demands strong analytical and writing skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with Directors and Vice Presidents on federal legislative affairs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze pending and proposed legislation/regulations, including amendments, and coordinate responses by identifying proposals and routing information to subject matter experts for review
- Conduct necessary research to support legislative analysis
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with external entities such as government organizations, customers, coalitions, and business associations to reinforce company positions
- Coordinate visits by elected officials and staff, and represent the company at selected events
- Support grassroots advocacy coalitions by providing information on relevant topics and maintaining communication networks with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to provide government relations guidance and incorporate operating group requirements
- Assist the government relations focal point company-wide on issues related to government activities
- Prepare reports and documentation, including employee labor reports and regulatory filings
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience engaging with Senior Business Leaders and government customers
- 1+ years of experience in Congressional, Regulatory, or Administration offices
- Familiarity with grassroots advocacy programs and legislative processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with strong communication skills
Typical Education & Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years’ related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Associate): $74,800 – $101,200
Summary pay range (Mid-Level): $89,250 – $120,750
