Through continuing education, research, public education, and advocacy, ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 41,000 emergency physician members and the more than 150 million Americans they treat on an annual basis.

This role is open to applicants local to the DC area only; fully remote applicants will not be considered. ### Job Description

The NEMPAC and ACEP Grassroots Advocacy Manager performs administrative and management tasks in support of NEMPAC and the 911 Grassroots Advocacy Network. This position serves as contact for ACEP membership, federal candidate campaigns, health organizations, advocacy leaders, donors, health industry PACs, and the public.

### Ideal Candidate

Applicants should feel comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced office environment while interacting with government and trade associations. Additionally, applicants should have experience working for non-profit institutions.

### Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has:

– A bachelor’s degree in political science or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
– Five to seven years of PAC fundraising and administrative experience, including additional experience in grassroots advocacy within a trade/membership association.
– Thorough knowledge of FEFC guidelines and regulations pertaining to federal PACs.
– Proficiency with social media platforms for use in government advocacy.

Other desired qualifications include advanced Microsoft Office skills, experience working on political campaigns or in the healthcare industry, and the ability to occasionally work outside of normally scheduled hours to attend PAC-related events.
