#### THE ROLE

This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Policy to help advance the company’s agenda with Congress, the Administration, and other key advocacy/stakeholder groups in Washington, D.C.

### WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

This role will work closely with the Senior Director, Government Relations and Public Policy to:

– Help develop and advance federal government affairs strategy with the executive and legislative branches.
– Help coordinate advocacy work with outside consultants, trade organizations, and policy-related organizations.
– Serve as an effective advocate of the company’s agenda with members of Congress, their staff, and relevant federal agencies.
– Help manage Live Nation Entertainment’s federal PAC.
– Maintain and build relationships with key policymakers.
– Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses, and internal policy meetings.
– Identify, monitor, and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues of importance to the company.
– Articulate and advocate policy positions that benefit the live entertainment industry in briefing papers, consultation responses, and in external or internal policy meetings.
– Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as legal, communications, and the policy team on public policy matters to help guide the development of products, services, and policies.

### WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

– **Experience**: 5+ years of public policy and/or political experience.
– **Proficient** in MS Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
– Ability to work collaboratively across the organization; self-motivated, independent self-starter.
– **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Government, Public Affairs, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
– Keen understanding of executing broad government relations strategy as well as developing and implementing U.S. legislation, regulations, and other policies.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience creating and effectively delivering factual, relevant, and easily understandable talking points and other messaging.
– Outstanding writing skills and ability to distill complex policy issues into simple explanations and compelling messages.
– Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity.
– Familiarity with the issues affecting the live entertainment industry is a plus.
– Ability to become knowledgeable on legislative processes and policy issues related to the live entertainment industry.
– Experience identifying and understanding key technical aspects pertaining to corporate operations, understanding business implications, synthesizing information for internal and external customers, and recommending the best course of action.
– Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate, legislative, regulatory agency, and other government levels.
– Willingness and ability to travel.
– Strong problem-solving skills and exercising sound judgment and discretion.
– Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
– Cooperative, flexible, team-oriented attitude.

### COMPENSATION

The expected compensation for this position is $110,000.00 USD – $138,000.00 USD. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
