### Introduction to Role:
Join our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit as a Sr. Manager, Federal Affairs. This role is a key member of the federal government affairs and US policy team, located in the Washington, DC office. You will primarily focus on market access, regulatory policy, enterprise development research, and coordination of business priorities of the Corporate and Government Affairs team.
### Accountabilities:
In this role, you will conduct research and data analysis to support company priorities, manage coordination across various teams, develop summaries of key legislative hearings and bills, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a team lead for strategic campaigns that advance our corporate reputation and policy objectives on Capitol Hill and in the White House.
### Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct research and data analysis and insights, in support of company priorities, in alignment with senior leadership.
– Manage coordination and organizational alignment across Corporate and Government Affairs leadership, specifically federal government affairs, federal partnerships, and the U.S. policy team.
– Develop summaries of key legislative hearings and bills through researching market trends and policy position statements, in support of the policy and advocacy teams.
– Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, attending key meetings and representing the company.
– Act as a team contact and lead for plans regarding key strategic campaigns that advance our corporate reputation and policy objectives on Capitol Hill and in the White House.
### Essential Skills/Experience:
– Bachelor’s Degree
– 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in public policy, public affairs, government affairs, public health, vaccines policy, issues management, or related business areas.
– Experience juggling multiple deadlines
– Expertise in distilling sophisticated policy concepts into plain language
– Skilled at managing cross-functional partner relations in a fast-paced environment.
– Skilled at Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
### Desired Skills/Experience:
– Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
– Experience working on Capitol Hill, at a Federal agency, or at The White House
– Experience briefing senior executives
– Understanding of and experience working with or adjacent to the pharma sector
