Position Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Director to lead the creative vision for our clients’ advocacy, digital, and communications campaigns. This role will focus on developing innovative and compelling creative materials across a range of mediums, including internal documents, pitch decks, ad creative, video production, websites, logos and branding, and storytelling. The Creative Director will play a key role in shaping how we communicate powerful narratives that drive policy changes and influence public opinion. This position is full-time salaried, with benefits and paid holidays. Salary for this position ranges from $155,000-$175,000.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree. Prior experience of 7+ years in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency or public affairs environment, is helpful.

Additional required professional attributes include:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in document design, branding, advertising, and multimedia content creation.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute creative strategies across multiple platforms, including digital, video, print, and web.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and defend creative concepts to internal teams and clients.
  • Experience managing creative teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Figma, and experience with video production tools and web design platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects and tight deadlines.
  • A passion for storytelling and advocacy, with a keen understanding of how to use creative to influence public opinion and policy.

Primary Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

Develop and lead the overall creative strategy for client campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and storytelling excellence across all deliverables.

Document Design

Oversee the development of visually compelling internal documents, reports, and pitch decks that effectively communicate the strategic direction and messaging for clients.

Advertising Creative

Direct the conceptualization and production of ad creatives (digital, print, social media, video, CTV) to resonate with target audiences and drive engagement for public affairs campaigns.

Video Production

Guide the production of high-quality video content, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to post-production, ensuring that the visual storytelling aligns with campaign goals and messaging.

Website & Digital Presence

Lead website development projects, ensuring the design, user experience, and messaging reflect the client’s brand and campaign objectives.

Branding & Logos

Oversee the creation of brand identities, including logo design, color schemes, and visual style guides, ensuring they effectively communicate the mission and values of our clients and their initiatives.

Messaging & Storytelling

Craft and refine messaging frameworks, key talking points, and campaign narratives that articulate the purpose and goals of the advocacy campaigns in an engaging and persuasive manner.

Collaboration

Work closely with strategy, account, and media teams to ensure creative materials align with broader campaign strategies and objectives.

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a creative team of designers, copywriters, videographers, and other creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Client Engagement

Present creative concepts and campaign materials to clients, incorporating feedback to ensure the final product exceeds client expectations.
