POSITION SUMMARY:

Power FC is looking for an experienced social media and digital professional to help elevate the club’s brand online and support fan development. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for building an effective social media strategy for both existing and emerging platforms, ensuring the club’s digital properties (website and app) align with Power FC’s primary objectives and initiatives throughout the year. This position will work closely alongside Marketing, Community Relations, Brand Engagement, Ticketing, and Events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads social content ideation, creation, and copywriting on all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube).
  • Develops strategies to drive fan engagement and build community, engaging and interacting with followers.
  • Captures real-time coverage during local events.
  • Drives engagement across all social platforms to help increase audience growth.
  • Tracks content performance and implements actionable insights.
  • Handles small graphic design projects for social media.
  • Develops strategies for expanding onto newer social platforms to increase brand reach and fan interaction.
  • Engages with followers, responds to comments & messages, and fosters a positive & interactive community using the “club” brand voice.
  • Researches trends and topics in the sports and entertainment industry to create content that aligns with the club’s strategy.
  • Supports the marketing and communications team with campaign ideation and execution, website content migration, and creative asset management platform categorization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably marketing or communications
  • Managerial experience within a social media department
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences, and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing efforts
  • In-depth knowledge of branded content and digital media
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns
