Position Description
Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is seeking an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic Senior Vice President to lead the Climate and Environmental Program. This role manages collaboration for OFN’s climate strategy and provides technical expertise on greenhouse gas reduction. The SVP will implement OFN’s Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) award and initiatives related to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF).
The SVP will act as an environmental ambassador advocating for climate initiatives that benefit low-wealth communities and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), developing partnerships to achieve common goals.
This position is based in Washington, D.C., with a hybrid schedule.

Core Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement OFN’s green financing initiatives, including GGRF and CCIA programs.
- Manage CCIA award implementation, ensuring compliance with grant documentation and collaborating with EPA through meetings and reporting.
- Lead climate-related initiatives, including market-building services, LIDAC engagement, and technical assistance.
- Engage with the Sustainability Committee and Climate Industry Advisory to gather external input for OFN’s climate strategy.
- Provide technical expertise on greenhouse gas reduction, training materials, green lending products, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with OFN members, stakeholders, and internal teams to implement climate, energy, and environmental programs.
- Support content creation for website, social media, and supporter communications.
- Collect and analyze data on CDFI green financing and emissions to support strategy development.
- Build coalitions, maintain relationships with partner organizations, and represent OFN at events.
- Supervise two team members and oversee contractors as needed.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, public policy, environmental planning, or related fields, or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in program development, change management, and project management.
- Familiarity with community development, greenhouse gas reduction projects, and clean project financing.
- Knowledge of environmental science concepts, carbon accounting, and ESG reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated passion for environmental justice and social change.
- Strong financial analysis, risk mitigation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and interface across all organizational levels.
- Occasional travel (5%).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $135,600 to $229,300 annually. Compensation varies based on experience, education, and performance. Benefits include:
