About the Role

The PR Director will be a pivotal part of our leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive communications and public relations strategy. This individual will take full ownership of external communications, brand positioning, and media relations, with the ultimate goal of driving awareness, trust, and loyalty among various external audiences, including but not limited to insureds, brokers, partners, investors, and media outlets.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and Execute Communications and PR Strategies: Create and implement impactful communications and PR campaigns that align with the company’s goals and vision.
  • Lead Rebranding Efforts: Take ownership of the company’s rebranding initiative, ensuring consistency across all communications channels.
  • Build and Leverage Relationships: Utilize existing media, influencer, and industry connections to amplify the brand’s voice.
  • Crisis Communications Management: Act as the primary point of contact for crisis communications, safeguarding the company’s reputation.
  • Content Creation and Messaging: Find and craft compelling stories for use in shared, earned, and owned channels; develop messaging for consistent communications to various audiences.
  • Executive Visibility: Pitch and secure speaking engagements to raise the visibility of company leadership.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Measure and Report: Track the effectiveness of PR campaigns and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in insurance, finance, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of successful rebranding campaigns.
  • Established relationships with local, trade, and national journalists with recent media placements.
  • Previous experience supporting executive visibility work.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience counseling executive leadership.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Pay Range for This Role

120,000 – 180,000 USD per year (Remote – United States)
