About this Role
This position will plan and execute civic engagement activations including in-district events (i.e., roundtables, branch visits, etc.) and virtual townhalls with federal and state elected officials. Additionally, this individual will assist regional Public Affairs leaders with events to bring the full force of Wells Fargo to the community. This role will also ensure the execution of Wells Fargo’s enterprise-wide “Get Out the Vote” plan on a yearly basis.
This position is based at 1700 K Street, NW, Washington, DC, and requires in-office presence three days a week. The Wells Fargo job profile is Government Relations Specialist.
In This Role, You Will:
- Work across Government Relations & Public Policy to develop an elected official engagement strategy, including virtual townhalls, executive roundtables, small business roundtables, and branch visits.
- Manage events, including developing a calendar and timelines, coordinating schedules, creating invitations, tracking RSVPs, developing briefing materials, sending thank-you notes, providing regular updates to GRPP leadership, and managing risk.
- Serve on the Public Affairs Strategic Engagement Council, which brings the full force of Wells Fargo to the communities in which we live and work.
- Serve as a liaison to some of the Public Affairs regional teams, assisting with annual planning, local activations, scheduling regular meetings, developing agendas, and serving as the minute-taker.
- Execute the enterprise-wide “Get Out the Vote” program, including content development, managing a time-sensitive email calendar, organizing voter registration drives, and other tasks as needed.
- Develop a pilot Washington, DC, fly-in program.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Government Relations, Public Affairs, or Legal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience executing organizational change initiatives and concurrent work streams.
- Experience planning and executing large and/or complex events.
- Experience working with Local and Federal Government officials.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across large organizations.
- Experience presenting information in a persuasive and influential manner to decision-makers.

Pay Range:
- $106,300.00 – $188,900.00 (Base pay range may vary based on achievements, skills, experience, and work location.)
