The AI landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, raising questions of efficacy in advocacy campaigns and ethical concerns about its use. In this session, we’ll cover the fundamentals of AI, the differences between various AI-powered tools and how these technologies can enhance public affairs strategies while also addressing the potential risks.
Attendees will learn:
- Key AI concepts, including machine learning, generative AI and predictive analysis
- The latest trends in AI adoption for public affairs and advocacy
- Common pitfalls to avoid when using AI

Practical Applications for Successful and Responsible Use of AI
In the second half of our program, we’ll dive into specific AI tools that advocacy professionals can integrate into their work. Our speakers will demonstrate how to use AI for content generation, message development, data analysis and stakeholder engagement. You will leave with actionable insights into selecting the right tools and developing an AI Use Policy for your organization.
This session will cover:
- Tips for using AI for text and image generation, document summarization and message development – and which tools are best suited for each task
- Best practices for integrating AI into workflows while maintaining accuracy, transparency and ethical standards
- How to develop an AI Use Policy for responsible AI governance
