DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in leveraging your program management skills to join a dynamic team responsible for improving public perception of selling on Amazon worldwide? We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, high-judgment, results-oriented, and inventive Program Manager for a dynamic role that will own strategy and execution of initiatives that ensure that public perception mirrors the reality that Amazon’s store is a great place for our Selling Partners to build and maintain thriving businesses. This includes working closely with partner teams such as Public Policy and Public Relations to develop initiatives and mechanisms that support coordinated workstreams.
The Seller External Relations (SER) team is responsible for ensuring that Amazon’s stores are a great place for third-party sellers, especially for small businesses, to build and maintain thriving businesses. The team engages with third-party sellers to amplify their stories and voices externally and advocate for them internally to ensure the intended and perceived seller experience mirrors the reality.
This role will have a high degree of ownership for defining programs and scalable solutions that raise the bar on improving public perception of the selling experience on Amazon. The role is inherently cross-functional – you will work closely with Public Policy, Public Relations, engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams across the consumer business to design and accelerate both new and existing programs at Amazon that support and amplify the success of our Selling Partners.
The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative, and dives deep into details. They can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in, and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to earn trust and influence cross-functional teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset, and strong analytical skills are essential. The candidate for this position also embraces ambiguity, ramps quickly on complex issues, and is skilled at communicating complex issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Owns program strategy and solutions as part of a dedicated team focused on external perception, including through internal programs and services, as well as through partnerships with third-party organizations.

- Creates, optimizes, and drives adoption of critical mechanisms required to ensure long-term expansion and success.
- Represents, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders to help them understand the decisions they have to make and what options they have.
- Drives cross-functional and cross-regional alignment to achieve strategic program goals.
- Tracks and reports program learnings and effectiveness to internal stakeholders.
- Anticipates bottlenecks, provides escalation management, anticipates and makes tradeoffs, and balances business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
- Interacts with stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple regions, and works with business, Public Policy, Public Relations, marketing, tech, and analytics teams to define and deliver solutions.
