York’s complete Space Segment Solution includes spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations, enabling customers to leverage York’s existing technology solutions to get to orbit rapidly and responsively. We’re looking to expand our team across the board.
This innovative, strategic thinker will cultivate and sustain customer relationships to shape business opportunities aligned with York’s unique space capabilities and business model. They will engage across the space industry and Congressional ecosystem, including government stakeholders, leveraging customer knowledge and contacts to drive success in advancing legislative initiatives and winning and executing contracts.
The candidate must navigate the dynamic DC ecosystem and be able to work across Congress, the US space industry, and develop targeted relationship-building strategies to accomplish strategic results. They will also execute tactically while managing priorities within tight timelines, ensuring accountability and maximizing business impact.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer relationships across government and industry to drive strategic growth
- Advocate for York’s space capabilities and business model across the US government
- Engage in targeted space conferences, congressional events, national security space events, and customer visits
- Partner with Business Development team to identify high-value markets, government budgets, and customer opportunities through market and competitive analysis
- Provide recommendations and present business development opportunities to pursue
- Collaborate with functional leadership (DC Ops VP, BD VP, CTO, LT, Contracts) to align York offerings with customer needs
- Develop innovative engagement strategies to communicate York capabilities, secure new business leads, and provide the team with win themes for proposals and white papers
- Team with DC Office Manager to establish an automated approach to knowledge management to continuously manage engagements across diverse customer sets
Qualifications
- Strong network in US Government (Congress, OMB, DoW, Space/Intel Community)
- Outstanding presentation and customer-facing communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Driven to achieve and deliver consistent high-quality results
- Self-motivated and able to operate in a complex social environment with minimal guidance
- Works well in a team environment and at all levels across
- Cleared to TS/SCI
