## About the Job

### Position Summary

At Proof Strategies, we believe trust is earned, and we help our clients build it every day. As a medium-sized, management-owned communications and public relations agency, we offer a stable and dynamic workplace and take pride in going above and beyond for our clients. Unlike larger, conglomerate agencies, we operate independently and make decisions based on what is best for our clients and the markets we serve.

We have a growing Washington, D.C. presence and are excited to add to our team. We are looking for an Account Manager focused on earned media and public relations to join us. This is a strong fit for someone who wants to do meaningful, visible work while continuing to build their skills, take on more responsibility, and grow their career.

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will lead day-to-day earned media efforts, from developing media strategies to pitching and securing coverage. You will track performance, identify what is working, and provide clear, actionable guidance to clients on what to do next. You will also support thought leadership by drafting and editing op-eds, drafting executive communications, and helping plan and coordinate events. You will also play a role in growing the business by supporting new business efforts, including research, proposal development, and helping shape pitch materials.

We are looking for someone who is sharp, collaborative, adaptable, and motivated by growth. You take initiative, follow through, and are comfortable managing multiple priorities. A strong sense of humor, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work well with others are just as important as technical skills.

You will work closely with the Vice President as part of a team that values proactive thinking, accountability, and collaboration. Only candidates residing in the greater Washington, D.C. area will be considered. The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $90,000, with final title and compensation based on experience.
