FleishmanHillard’s Brussels office is seeking a public affairs and communications professional with 3–5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on financial markets and asset management policy, to support its Financial Services practice.

Within our Brussels office, our Financial Services team consists of around 40 full-time consultants advising over 40 clients spanning banks, investors, insurance companies, market infrastructures, data and payments providers, FinTech, corporates and credit rating agencies. Specifically, we advise these clients on the implications of legislative and other policy developments for their organisations and develop advocacy strategies that help them meet their objectives.
What You Will Do
- Manage and lead the implementation of public affairs programmes for market‑leading global accounts, working in close partnership with clients as a trusted advisor.
- Support other members of our financial markets and asset management teams in servicing our client base in these sectors.
- Assist in outreach to policy makers, stakeholders and the media.
- Actively participate in broader office activities, including business development and people management.
Who You Are
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in EU financial services policy, capital markets and asset management, gained through work with EU institutions or national ministries of finance/regulators, consultancies or in‑house in a financial services organisation or association.
- Excellent understanding of EU institutions, EU processes and political dynamics, with the ability to assess how regulatory developments impact financial markets and investment activities.
- Strong business acumen and an appreciation of the commercial impact of policy decisions.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects and campaigns for a portfolio of clients.
- Strong advisory skills, supported by first‑class written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex regulatory developments into clear, actionable insights.
- Entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem‑solving.
- Track record of successful, influential public affairs campaigns and stakeholder communications strategies.
- Dynamic team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple issues and deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.
