Our team is seeking a Vice President, Communications to join our Strategic Communications team in Washington, DC to lead in crafting and executing cutting-edge communications strategy for clients ranging from nonprofits and advocacy groups to media start-ups and industry leaders.

## What You Will Be Doing

### Client Management

– **Client relationships** — Own client relationships and manage multiple large-scale projects and accounts; maintain strong, solutions-oriented partnerships with clients.
– **Strategic initiatives** — Lead strategic, outcome-driven initiatives with diverse stakeholders; solve problems with creative solutions; know when to leverage other teams at Precision; communicate clearly and confidently across all levels.
– **Client management process** — Follow Precision’s client management process. Ensure staff have the resources and support to exceed expectations and expand scopes. Ensure staff deliver high-quality work and adhere to client budgets.

### Communications Leadership

– **Integrated communications** — Oversee the development of high-impact integrated communications strategies and materials—including memos, decks, press releases, op-eds, speeches, social media strategy and content, paid media, data analysis, and more—ensuring alignment with client objectives and audience insights.
– **Media strategy** — Lead media strategy across multiple initiatives, leveraging relationships and insights to advance client narratives. Anticipate trends, shape storylines, and ensure teams deliver proactive, high-impact engagement.
– **Message frameworks** — Guide teams in delivering sharp, persuasive message frameworks that drive results.

### Collaboration & People Management

– **Cross-functional collaboration** — Champion collaboration across strategic communications, data, creative, and paid media teams to drive cohesive, high-impact outcomes; commit to building knowledge across teams and sharing best practices.
– **Internal communication** — Keep internal teams updated on changes and developments; lead productive internal meetings; clearly communicate deliverables and deadlines; bring in other teams when needed; lead effective meetings with external stakeholders.
– **Staff management** — Lead and manage junior staff through 1:1s, goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews; effectively manage teams during periods of change; foster a high-morale, accountable culture; provide clear, constructive feedback.

## What We Are Looking For

– **10+ years experience** in marketing communications, marketing performance analytics, digital media measurement (earned or owned), social media measurement, market research, or related fields. Prior agency experience strongly preferred.
– **Client management** experience, including work with large organizations and multiple stakeholders.
– **Team leadership** and experience guiding junior talent.
– **Multi-client management** experience.
– **Communication skills** — excellent written and verbal communication.
– **Meticulous attention to detail.**
– **Creative, energetic, entrepreneurial spirit.**

**Salary range:** $135,000 – $170,000.

## Work Model

We are currently working in a hybrid model and require staff to work in the office **50% of working days each month**.
