Our team is seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Strategic Communications team in New York, NY or Washington, DC to lead in crafting and executing cutting-edge digital strategy for clients ranging from corporate leaders to advocacy groups.

## Client Management
– **Owns large client engagements** — oversees relationships with clients and partners; runs and manages workstreams.
– **Leads structured resolution** of complex, high‑stakes challenges across clients and internal teams (e.g., bringing clarity to ambiguity, balancing strategic vision with executional detail, offering innovative approaches, and leveraging deep knowledge of Precision’s capabilities).
– **Follows Precision’s client management process** — ensures staff have resources and support to exceed expectations and expand scopes; ensures delivery of high‑quality work; maintains client budgets.

## Digital Specific
– **Sets the overall vision for content excellence** — defines how storytelling, creativity, and strategic messaging power the agency’s reputation and results; shapes the agency’s voice, frameworks, and standards; serves as an internal and external thought leader; guides innovation in formats, technology, and emerging platforms; partners with senior leadership to connect content to business development and brand growth.
– **Sets strategic direction for platform capabilities** — ensures Precision remains at the forefront of digital execution, innovation, and compliance; defines systems, tools, and training for operational excellence; aligns platform expertise with business strategy and new client opportunities.
– **Defines philosophy and standards for measurement** — oversees how Precision uses data and analytics to demonstrate impact, drive growth, and enhance client confidence; aligns measurement strategy with broader communications, marketing, and policy objectives.

## Collaboration & People Management
– **Orchestrates cross-functional integration** across strategic communications, data, creative, and paid media; aligns leadership and teams around a shared vision; ensures transparency and adaptability as priorities evolve; builds knowledge across teams and shares best practices.
– **Keeps internal teams updated** on changes and developments (e.g., leads productive meetings, clearly communicates deliverables and deadlines, brings in other teams when needed).
– **Leads and manages mid-level staff** through 1:1s, goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews; manages teams during periods of change; fosters a high‑morale, accountable culture; provides constructive feedback; escalates issues to leadership.

– **Executes complex projects end-to-end** with limited guidance and high‑quality outputs (e.g., anticipates shifts in client direction and scope; crafts clear work plans; delegates effectively; oversees project budgets).

– **Owns and advances the firm’s content strategy** across high‑impact, multi‑channel initiatives; sets standards for compelling storytelling; provides editorial leadership; mentors senior staff; embeds a culture of excellence.
– **Shapes and drives an innovation culture** — anticipates future challenges and market shifts; designs transformative solutions; leverages cross‑functional and industry expertise; aligns innovation efforts with Precision’s long‑term vision.

## Business Development
– **Identifies new business opportunities** within their network; leads pitches and presentations from brainstorm to delivery; drives organic growth by expanding client work and proposing new ideas; supports firm marketing efforts.

## What We Are Looking For
– **12+ years of relevant experience** in marketing communications, marketing performance analytics, digital media measurement (earned or owned), social media measurement, market research, or related fields; prior agency experience strongly preferred.
– **Direct client management experience**; experience with large organizations and multiple stakeholders a plus.
– **Experience managing junior talent**.
– **Experience working with multiple clients** simultaneously.
– **Excellent written and verbal communication skills**.
– **Meticulous attention to detail**.
– **Creative, energetic, entrepreneurial spirit**.
**Salary range:** $170,000 – $200,000.

## Work Model
