Job Summary
The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually.

Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and influencing healthcare policy, including legislation and regulatory changes that impact operations, funding, compliance, and strategic goals. The role works to advance the public policy agenda and strengthen relationships with elected officials and community partners.
Essential Functions
– Track and analyze proposed legislation and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
– Evaluate the impact of public policy changes on operations, finances, and strategic initiatives.
– Draft policy briefs, position statements, and regulatory comment letters.
– Develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, agency personnel, and healthcare associations.
– Coordinate leadership participation in advocacy efforts, including legislative meetings, hearings, and events.
– Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and clinical departments to assess policy implications.
– Build alliances with community organizations, peer organizations, and advocacy groups to support common goals.
– Organize site visits, tours, and public affairs events for policymakers and partners.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor Law preferred.
Experience
At least 3–5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative advocacy, or related area required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
– Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., state agencies, CMS, HHS, ACA, Medicaid/Medicare).
– Strong political acumen and established relationships with key government stakeholders.
– Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
– Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

This is a hybrid role with an on‑site presence at the office in Assembly Row at least 1x/month, plus additional travel to local events.
