## WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications who has a deep understanding of both communications and context. They know that communications is not simply about what is said, but what is heard, believed, and remembered. This is a high‑visibility, high‑accountability role for someone who understands our business environment, appreciates the responsibility that comes with a role like this, and takes ownership of how Fors Marsh shows up.

This role is one of stewardship. You are responsible for ensuring that how Fors Marsh communicates reflects who we are, what we do, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

How we present ourselves externally and communicate internally shapes how clients, partners, and employees understand who we are. This role requires judgment, attention to nuance, and an appreciation for the responsibility that comes with representing the company.

You will lead the full corporate marketing and communications portfolio: brand stewardship, internal communications, external positioning. You will lead a small, agile, and super‑talented team and have access to tools and resources to drive success.

## Core Responsibilities

### Brand Stewardship
– Serve as steward of the Fors Marsh brand across all touchpoints, including voice, tone, visual identity, and positioning.
– Ensure external communications accurately reflect what the company does, how it works, and what differentiates it.
– Identify and address positioning risks before they reach the market.

### Internal Communications
– Lead internal communications including internal messaging, company‑wide meetings, newsletters, and intranet content.
– Build communications that create clarity, alignment, and connection across a growing and distributed organization.

### External Positioning and Thought Leadership
– Manage the company’s public presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other owned channels.
– Oversee the strategy and execution of company‑owned media and content platforms.
– Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy that elevates Fors Marsh and its subject matter experts in priority markets.
– Identify and pursue awards, recognition programs, and speaking opportunities that strengthen market position.
– Lead conference strategy, ensuring Fors Marsh is present where it matters most.

### Public Relations and Media
– Manage relationships with PR resources and external communications partners.
– Develop and execute communications strategies for acquisitions, partnerships, program launches, and other company announcements.
– Advise leadership on how market conditions, industry dynamics, and current events should inform communications decisions.

## Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ years in marketing, communications, or brand strategy leadership
• Deep knowledge of the government contracting environment, public health, behavioral science, or research‑driven organizations
• Demonstrated experience writing critical company communications
• Experience managing and developing small teams
• Experience managing a marcomm budget that includes external vendors or partners
• Track record of building and/or evolving a marketing or communications function and developing the team
• Strong judgment as a communicator; you understand that words carry meaning, shape perception, and influence trust
• Instinct to recognize positioning risks before they become problems, and judgment to know how to respond
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus

**Annual Salary:** $145,000–$170,000

**Location:** Hybrid. On‑site requirements as needed in the D.C. Area. #LI-hybrid
