# Government Relations and Political Engagement Specialist

At Booz Allen, our Government Relations team serves as a strategic partner to the business by advancing the company’s public policy priorities, strengthening relationships with policymakers, and fostering trusted engagement across the political ecosystem.

This unique position sits at the intersection of government relations, political engagement, operations, and strategic stakeholder management. Partnering closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Booz Allen PAC Director, you will help execute enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance the company’s visibility, credibility, influence, and access among policymakers, industry leaders, and key external stakeholders.

## What You’ll Do

– **Government relations strategy** — Support the development and execution of Booz Allen’s federal government relations and political engagement strategies in alignment with enterprise priorities.
– **Policy and stakeholder research** — Conduct policy, stakeholder, and political research to develop concise executive briefing materials, talking points, and strategic communications.
– **Project planning** — Lead project planning and operational execution for strategic Government Relations initiatives, ensuring effective coordination across workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders.
– **Executive engagement coordination** — Coordinate executive engagements with external stakeholders, including scheduling, briefing preparation, logistics, and follow-up.
– **Congressional engagement support** — Support planning surrounding congressional hearings, executive testimony, advocacy campaigns, and other high-profile government engagement activities.
– **Operational excellence** — Drive operational excellence by maintaining project tracking systems, knowledge management resources, and internal communications that enhance team effectiveness.
– **Team operations** — Coordinate team operations, including vendor onboarding, procurement activities, invoice processing, and administrative support.
– **PAC administration** — Support day-to-day administration of the Booz Allen Political Action Committee (PAC), including fundraising initiatives, contribution processing, disbursements, and governance activities.
– **PAC communications** — Develop communications and educational initiatives that increase employee awareness and participation in the PAC.
– **Compliance partnership** — Partner with Legal, Ethics, Finance, and external vendors to ensure compliance with campaign finance laws, lobbying disclosure requirements, corporate political activity policies, and applicable ethics regulations.
– **Political disclosure reporting** — Enhance political disclosure reporting through improved data management, reporting processes, and documentation.
– **Compliance risk identification** — Identify compliance risks proactively while promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and responsible political engagement.
– **Stakeholder relationship building** — Foster strong working relationships with internal business leaders, trade associations, advocacy organizations, and external lobbying firms.
– **Third‑party engagement** — Coordinate third-party engagement strategies and evaluate external partnerships to maximize advocacy and reputation effectiveness.
– **Event logistics** — Manage logistics for high-impact events, including political fundraisers, thought leadership forums, executive engagements, and facility visits.

## You Have

– 5+ years of experience in government relations, political engagement, public policy, political compliance, or congressional affairs
– Experience managing complex projects from planning through execution while balancing multiple competing priorities
– Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
– Knowledge of federal election law, FEC regulations, lobbying disclosure requirements, corporate political activity, and PAC governance
– Ability to display exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
– Ability to exercise sound judgment while handling confidential and politically sensitive information
– Ability to build productive relationships across business functions and with external stakeholders
– Bachelor’s degree

## Nice If You Have

– Experience administering a corporate Political Action Committee (PAC)
– Experience with federal election law, FEC regulations, lobbying compliance, and corporate PAC governance
– Experience supporting executive leaders and preparing briefing materials
– Knowledge of government relations tracking platforms and political intelligence tools
– Possession of excellent organizational skills
– Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear and persuasive style

Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
**Projected compensation range:** $86,800.00 – $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
