**Job Description**

The Marketing & Social Media Manager will assist in growing ALTA’s brand, engaging members and industry professionals involved in the real estate and mortgage process, and elevating ALTA’s voice across multiple communications channels. In this role, the Manager will help create compelling content, develop marketing campaigns, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities to improve results through testing, audience targeting, and new marketing approaches.

### **Duties and Responsibilities**

### **Marketing**
– Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns supporting membership, education, conferences, advocacy initiatives, and the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation.
– Develop email marketing, digital advertising, and promotional content across multiple channels.
– Help create marketing materials including graphics, videos, presentations, web content, and promotional assets.
– Conduct A/B testing and analyze campaign performance to improve messaging, content, audience targeting, and overall campaign effectiveness.
– Use marketing analytics to identify trends and recommend data‑driven improvements.
– Support website content updates and digital communications as needed.

### **Social Media & Digital Engagement**
– Manage ALTA’s day‑to‑day social media presence across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
– Create engaging social media content, including graphics, short‑form videos, photos, captions, and stories that grow audience engagement and expand ALTA’s reach.
– Help translate complex industry and public policy issues into compelling social content that educates and engages members and stakeholders.
– Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices, recommending new ideas and creative approaches.
– Engage with followers by monitoring comments, messages, and conversations while identifying opportunities to increase visibility and participation.
– Track social media performance and prepare regular reports highlighting engagement, growth, and recommendations for improvement.

### **Content Creation**
– Write clear, engaging copy for social media, email campaigns, web pages, newsletters, and promotional materials.
– Capture and edit photos and short‑form video content at meetings, conferences, and other ALTA events.
– Collaborate with staff across departments to identify stories that showcase members, industry issues, and association initiatives.
– Help maintain a consistent voice and visual identity across all marketing channels.

### **Collaboration**
– Work with colleagues across the organization to support communications and marketing needs.
– Assist with communications planning and campaign scheduling.
– Support vendor relationships for creative projects as assigned.
– Represent ALTA at conferences, meetings, and member events as needed.

### **Preferred Skills and Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
– At least three years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or digital content creation, including internships.
– Strong understanding of major social media platforms and what makes content successful on each.
– Experience in creating engaging graphics, videos, and written content for digital audiences.
– Familiarity with marketing analytics and an interest in using data to improve campaign performance.
– Experience with or willingness to learn email marketing platforms, content management systems, social media management tools, and digital marketing software.
– Comfortable experimenting with new marketing ideas, testing different approaches, and measuring results.
– Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
– Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Self‑starter who is curious, creative, collaborative, and eager to learn.
– Interest in public policy, advocacy, or association work is a plus.

### **Other**
– **Classification:** Full‑time, Salaried, Exempt
– **Reports to:** Vice President of Communications
– **Location:** Washington, DC or Remote
– **Annual Salary Range:** $65,000 to $85,000
