Conference Facilities
The below information is provided for speakers who present at events held in the Public Affairs Council’s conference room located at 2121 K Street, NW, Suite 900 in Washington, DC. If you have any questions, please contact Yeraldin Borray Castillo.
Technology
To ensure a smooth event experience, the Public Affairs Council requests that speakers use our equipment, including our PC based laptops, to display your presentation. Please make sure to send your presentation by the requested dates so that your materials (including any videos, web links, etc.) can be tested prior to the event. The Council is not responsible for the function of outside equipment and in many cases, may not be able to provide assistance with issues that arise.
The Public Affairs Council’s conference room is equipped with the following technology:
- PC based laptops
- Wireless Internet Access
- Wireless Presentation Remotes
- Projector
- One Large Screen
- Two LCD televisions
*Our conference space can seat up to 35 participants and though it is sizable, it is not large enough to require microphones and microphones are not currently available.
Room Set-up
You can see photos of our conference space below.
- A typical set-up for the conference room is either boardroom style or classroom style.
- For those who are presenting on a panel, the Council provides barstool height chairs with no table. We recommend that either long skirts or pants be worn and any notes or materials will need to be handheld.
- For individual presentations, a small podium will be provided if requested in advance. If you do not require a podium, there is space available for notes or other items on a credenza at the front of the room
For tips on preparing your presentation and general information on presenting at Council conferences, please review the Public Affairs Council’s Speaker Manual.
