COVID-19 Information and Policies
The safety of our conference attendees, partners and team is of paramount importance to the Public Affairs Council. We will continue to closely monitor CDC and local guidelines, and our safety protocols will meet or exceed those guidelines. To ensure in-person events take place with lower risk to participants, the Council is requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for admittance to the 2022 Digital Media and Advocacy Summit and the State & Local Government Relations Conference.
All registrants for these programs must attest to being fully vaccinated when confirming their registration. The only exemption to this policy will be religious or medical reasons. When this occurs, specific health protocols must be followed; otherwise, attendees will not be admitted. The Council’s proof of vaccination policy is designed to create a safe experience for participants at Public Affairs Council events as well as our staff. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
The Council will require registrants to submit an Acknowledgment of Personal Responsibility Form upon registering for a meeting or event, and to comply with any state or local mask mandates in place for indoor events until further notice. The Acknowledgement of Personal Responsibility Form also includes an agreement that attendees stay home from the conference in the case of symptoms or exposure to COVID-19.
Other Safety Measures
Masks: The Public Affairs Council will comply with any state or local mask mandates in place for indoor events at the time of the conferences. Masks are otherwise optional based on personal preference, but given how quickly the course of the pandemic can change participants should be prepared to wear a mask indoors if asked under these precautions.
Sanitizing and Cleaning: We will be distributing hand sanitizer, and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event. Hand washing is important in helping reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Handshakes, hugs and fist bumps discouraged: We request that attendees, speakers, staff and sponsors respect a “no-touch” policy at the event.
Cancellation Policy
Any registrants exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or who have been exposed to COVID-19 within 10 days of the conference must cancel their registration or transfer it to another person. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
