The event will be broken down into three sessions focusing on three key areas:

  • Global issues mapping: Creating an issues-tracking process that helps identify and establish priorities;
  • Engaging with stakeholders globally: Connecting with stakeholders, building coalitions and maintaining successful partnerships;
  • Proving the value of your function: Communicating success internally and achieving executive buy-in.

Session 1: Managing Issues in a Global Arena – Case Studies and Lessons Learned

The first session of our virtual workshop will explore how a global company identifies its key objectives and priorities, what are some of the challenges of tracking and managing issues across markets, and how this all fits in its global policy strategy.

Session 2: Engaging with Stakeholders Globally

How does a global company identify its key stakeholders, define engagement priorities and manage its external relations and alliances? This session will feature strategic insights, case studies and concrete tips by global leaders on how they have addressed these challenges and identified stakeholder engagement opportunities in an increasingly uncertain global environment.

Session 3: Measuring and Communicating Internally the Value of Your Global Function

What are the key steps of setting up a system that allows teams to measure the impact of their global public affairs work? How can teams be more effective at communicating that value internally to the C-Suite and other departments? This session will give you concrete ideas on measuring public affairs ROI and raising the profile of your global function internally.
