PACs remain the number one way for associations and corporations to participate in elections by supporting candidates running for office because of their transparency and voluntary nature. However, PACs are often misunderstood. This workshop will share strategies to proactively build an understanding of the PAC’s importance for your overall government relations efforts.

During this program, you will learn:

  • How to craft compelling PAC presentations that demonstrate its value to leadership
  • What information to share about the PAC and its activities
  • Ways to engage key stakeholders to amplify your PAC education efforts

1:30 p.m.

Leadership Buy-in

PACs with CEO support out fundraise those without that endorsement. In addition, leadership buy-in and support also demonstrate why the PAC matters and create a buzz that sparks curiosity about the PAC with employees. During this session, you will hear from PAC professionals who have:

  • Gained significant executive support
  • Perfected the PAC pitch targeting leadership
  • Leveraged leadership support to advance the PAC

Case Studies: Demonstrating the Important Role of the PAC

Government affairs functions do not rely on just one form of outreach to build relationships with lawmakers and increase exposure. The PAC is a tool meant to support and enhance your overall advocacy priorities. And an important part of any PAC manager’s job is reminding your leadership, employee base and members why you have a PAC and why its strength is critical to the success of your government relations team. Hear from practitioners who have strategically garnered awareness and understanding of their PACs.
