Designed for EU public affairs professionals, this workshop will focus on the practical aspects of EU decision-making, how to influence it, and what will be some of the main issues influencing upcoming EU legislation (policy-wise and procedurally).

This is the latest instance of our popular bi-annual workshop on the EU decision-making process and how and when to influence it.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding EU institutional cultures and their dynamics for effective public affairs
  • How to influence the policy-making of the European Commission, Council and Parliament
  • The role of EU agencies in risk assessment (for chemicals, food, pharma and other sectors)
  • Get a grip on trilogues: timeline, participants, information sources and effective lobbying
  • Comitology in practice : regulatory decision-making via implementing and delegated acts
  • Mapping stakeholders and developing an advocacy strategy: step-by-step plans

Corporations, NGOs, trade associations, international bodies can all benefit from this workshop as it focuses on practical tips, strategic foresight and tactical hints on how to place your issue on EU policy-makers’ and civil servants’ radar.
