9 am             Module 1: The Essentials: PAC Governance, Bylaws and Board Structure

Now is the time to invest your efforts in developing or improving your PAC’s governance and management strategy.  Strong governance is essential for stability and structure, especially amid conflict or a changing political and organizational environment. This module will cover ways to create a management plan with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to maximize your time as well as strategies for creating a diverse and involved PAC board.

Learning objectives:

  • How to create an action-oriented plan to reach your PAC goals
  • How to divide tasks effectively regardless of staff size or consultant involvement
  • Board structures, objectives and communications
  • Creating all-encompassing bylaws as well as a process for amending them if needed
