In 2015, the United Nations adopted the plan, “Transforming our world: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” Outlined in it are a set of 17 aspirational goals that speak to the integration of economic, social and environmental development. Covering the gamut of issues from education and poverty to infrastructure and sustainable cities, experts predict that these sustainable development goals (SDG) will become increasingly prevalent as both a framework and a measurement tool to help companies assess the impact of their CSR-related initiatives.
