About Reputation Ink

Reputation Ink is a fully remote, woman-owned public relations and marketing agency specializing in B2B professional services — including law firms, architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms, asset management firms and other complex industries where expertise matters.

We’re a fast-growing agency (3x fastest-growing companies honoree and recently shortlisted for PRWeek’s Outstanding Boutique Agency of the Year) — and we’re looking for an Account Director to step into a senior leadership role, owning client relationships, guiding strategy and developing high-performing teams.

This is not a task-management role. This is a role for someone who wants to lead accounts, influence strategy and help shape the future of a fast-growing agency. While this is primarily a public relations role, our work is inherently integrated. Many client programs also include content marketing, social media and select digital initiatives — so comfort operating across disciplines is important.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Director, you will serve as the strategic lead and trusted advisor for your clients, with full ownership of account performance, team management and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Client Strategy and Relationships

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor to clients
  • Develop and oversee annual strategic plans
  • Guide clients through complex communications challenges, including crisis situations
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts organically

Oversee Integrated PR and Marketing Execution

  • Lead and execute primarily PR-driven campaigns, including media relations and earned media strategy, while supporting integrated efforts across thought leadership, content marketing, social media and select digital and creative initiatives
  • Ensure all deliverables are high-quality, on time and aligned with client goals
  • Maintain a strong pulse on media trends and industry opportunities

Manage and Develop Teams

  • Lead, mentor and develop account team members
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews and career development planning
  • Build and retain high-performing teams

Own Account Performance

  • Manage budgets and ensure account profitability
  • Meet billability and utilization targets
  • Oversee reporting and ensure clients clearly see the value of our work

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking, strong writing and natural leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of agency experience, ideally in B2B or professional services
  • A track record of managing and growing client accounts
  • Experience leading teams and developing talent
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • A strong foundation in public relations is essential; experience with integrated marketing disciplines like content and social is a plus

Additional Attributes

  • A proactive mindset — you’re always thinking about what’s next
  • High emotional intelligence and strong client presence
  • The ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
  • Comfort working with senior-level clients, including attorneys, executives, architects and engineers

Why Reputation Ink

  • Fully remote (and always will be)
  • Fast-growing agency (Jacksonville Business Journal fastest-growing companies, 3x)
  • Shortlisted for PRWeek’s Outstanding Boutique Agency of the Year
  • High-impact work with sophisticated B2B clients
  • Collaborative, low-ego, high-performance culture
  • Opportunity to grow into senior leadership

Benefits

  • Two weeks of paid vacation in the first year, three weeks in years two through four, and four weeks after year five
  • 11 days of recognized public holidays
  • Bonus week off between Christmas and New Year’s (entire company is off)
  • Health, dental, disability and life insurance
  • 401(k) company match (beginning after one year of employment)

Our Hiring Process

Because writing is central to this role, finalists will complete 2–3 paid writing assignments as part of the interview process.
