Job Description
Hybrid Role – 4 days in office
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including congressional and executive branch staff, third‑party groups, and coalitions.
- Track and provide policy and political analysis on legislation related to generative AI, privacy, intellectual property, and other issues.
- Attend and provide written reports on external events, such as congressional hearings and third‑party conferences.
- Prepare briefings, talking points, and other materials to support News Corp executive leadership engagements with Members of Congress, Executive Branch officials, and other senior stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing backgrounders, statements, lines of questioning, questions for the record, and other relevant information for congressional hearings.
- Manage and prepare quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual lobbying compliance reports.
- Work as part of a small, nimble team to advance company goals and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience on Capitol Hill, in the Executive Branch, at a trade association, political consulting firm, or in a company’s government affairs department.
- Strong knowledge of federal legislative rules, procedures, and processes.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
- Outstanding research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise messages.
- Flexible team player able to prioritize concurrent projects, execute tasks, and meet deadlines while demonstrating professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while exercising exceptional judgment and discretion.
Travel, Hours & Work
- Position requires extended work hours; attendance at certain evening and weekend meetings and events will be necessary.

Pay Range: $80,000 – $110,000
