About the Role:

Clear communication is the foundation of a successful business, and it is something that EMI Advisors prides itself on. We are seeking a talented Communications and Health Analyst to support client delivery through health-related client projects as well as supporting the firm’s internal and external communications needs. The Communications and Health Analyst will have the opportunity to work closely with EMI Advisors’ senior leadership, project managers, and subject matter experts. We want someone who is interested in improving health outcomes, contributing to a rapidly growing small business, and making a positive impact on both clients and the firm as a whole. To thrive in this role, you should be driven to take ownership of responsibilities and be eager to take on new projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of a strategic communications strategy and plan for the firm from conception through execution.
  • Support internal and external communications, including the development of newsletters, press releases, social media posts, staff communications, website content, blog posts, and other communications.
  • Develop and disseminate approved communications content through a variety of channels in a timely manner.
  • Perform as needed public relations and media relations activities including managing media lists, drafting pitch notes, cultivating relationships with reporters, and triaging media and speaking opportunity requests.
  • Ensure content and branding consistency and compliance, including updating and enforcing consistency of EMI Advisors Style Guide.
  • Support knowledge management, documentation development, and maintenance.
  • Lead meeting note-taking and distribution for client projects.
  • Assist in document creation, editing, management, accessibility/tagging, distribution.
  • Review and edit final project deliverables for consistency with grammar and formatting.
  • Participate in business development activities including proposal writing.

Background and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, program management, or capture management, with at least 5 years focused on leading growth efforts for a Small Business, ideally within an 8(a) firm.
  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Two+ years of experience writing a range of communications materials for various audiences and purposes.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Online and social media skills for a business audience.
  • Ability to learn and adapt, including the ability to accommodate shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Preferred experience with health care and health information technology (health IT).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with strengths in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully work cooperatively and collaboratively to produce, track, and/or distribute communications products.
