Our 300+ member companies produce more than 90 percent of the residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment made in North America. Through our certification program, standards, advocacy, and other activities, we strive to help save energy, improve productivity, and ensure a better environment.

AHRI is seeking a Communications Manager to join our Public Affairs team. The Communications Manager supports and/or oversees a variety of Public Affairs functions and projects. The candidate must have strong writing and editing skills, experience with content management platforms, media relations experience, and the ability to manage multiple social media channels. Capitol Hill or federal agency experience a plus. Duties include but are not limited to:

Editing and/or writing newsletter articles, promotional messages, and press releases as assigned
Facilitating the production and distribution of multiple AHRI newsletters, and serving as the point of contact for subscription queries, technical issues, and reports
Overseeing content management platforms, and maintaining training on these programs
Monitoring and posting content across all AHRI social media channels on a daily basis and working with internal and external artists to develop graphics and produce and edit short videos as needed
Serving as backup AHRI spokesperson for media
Maintaining AHRI’s communications calendars and keep all tasks on schedule
Managing the AHRI email inbox and the filing of logos, artwork, and documents
Assisting with the production of marketing materials for all AHRI events and trade shows
Managing the mobile app for AHRI meetings, including vendor communications, app upgrades, and functionality
Completing other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (four- year college or university)
Two to four years of related experience
Expert in the use of MSWord, PowerPoint, and major social media platforms; familiarity with Excel, Zoom; Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and video editing are a plus.
AHRI offers a full benefits package with alternate workplace options and a friendly work environment. The salary hiring range for this position is $65,000-80,000.
