We are looking for a savvy, passionate **Content & Editorial Strategist** who is excited about brand storytelling, copywriting, sustainability, and beauty. This role is hybrid, with the expectation to work in‑office 1–2 days per week at our Venice, California headquarters.

## Responsibilities

– **Editorial strategy** — Develop and lead editorial and content strategies that support product launches, integrated campaigns, and key business objectives.
– **Brand voice** — Own and evolve OSEA’s content strategy and brand voice across all owned channels, ensuring messaging is consistent, differentiated, and aligned with the brand.
– **Messaging frameworks** — Establish messaging frameworks, storytelling pillars, and content strategies that guide execution across every customer touchpoint.
– **Copy development** — Develop compelling copy for product launches, integrated campaigns, email, social, retail collateral, events, and seasonal initiatives while creating scalable content systems that support cross‑functional teams.
– **Website editorial** — Lead the editorial strategy for OSEAMalibu.com, creating engaging content that strengthens the customer experience, supports SEO, and brings the brand to life through product pages, editorial features, and long‑form storytelling.
– **Editorial calendar** — Develop and manage the editorial calendar, aligning content priorities with campaign timelines, product launches, seasonal moments, and business goals.
– **Content guidelines** — Create content briefs, messaging hierarchies, editorial guidelines, and channel‑specific frameworks that enable consistent execution across Creative, E‑Commerce, Social, Paid, and Lifecycle Marketing.
– **Cross‑functional collaboration** — Partner closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, E‑Commerce, Product Marketing, Education, and Digital teams to shape integrated campaigns from a content‑first perspective.
– **Ingredient storytelling** — Translate ingredient science, clinical results, sustainability initiatives, and product innovation into clear, compelling consumer‑facing messaging that educates and inspires.
– **Performance insights** — Use performance insights, SEO data, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities, optimize existing content, and inform future strategy.
– **Trend monitoring** — Monitor beauty, wellness, digital, and cultural trends to evolve OSEA’s storytelling, ensuring content remains relevant, distinctive, and connected to the brand’s point of view.
– **Editorial excellence** — Champion editorial excellence by maintaining brand voice standards, ensuring consistency across channels, and continually evolving content best practices.

## Requirements

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, non‑verbal, intuitive, psychic et al)
– Must be willing to use AI to optimize workflows and speed
– Experience in Figma
– 5+ years of copywriting experience, ideally with beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brands
– Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an impressive portfolio
– Proven ability to adapt voice and tone across platforms (digital, print, social, email, video scripts)
– Familiarity with SEO best practices and performance copywriting
– Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize in a deadline‑driven environment
– Must reside in Los Angeles to be considered for this position, with the expectation to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST)

## Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is **$80,000–$95,000 per year**. The actual salary offer will consider factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
