### The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (Committee) is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization committed to educating the public about issues that have significant fiscal policy impact. The Committee is made up of some of the nation’s leading budget experts including many of the past Chairmen and Directors of the Budget Committees, the Congressional Budget Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Government Accountability Office.

This is not your typical think tank digital media role. The Digital Media Manager is expected to be a very active participant in a fast-moving policy-driven environment. We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to help us maintain, optimize, and expand the Committee’s online presence. This includes developing and executing digital campaigns that drive web traffic, promoting and maintaining our online interactive resources, monitoring analytics, and working across the organization to ensure coordination and execution of the organization’s digital goals.

The Digital Media Manager will report to the Vice President and Deputy Chief of Staff.

### Primary Responsibilities

– Develop a public engagement strategy aimed to promote engagement and usage of the interactive tools, and dissemination of their results to policymakers.
– Ensure our website and digital engagement tools are user-friendly, up to date, easy to understand, and navigate.
– Identify baseline metrics for audience acquisition and digital traffic to inform organization-wide decision-making and ensure targets are met.
– Monitor the current digital media landscape and trends, and respond to market changes and developments.
– Negotiate and manage contracts with communications firms and developers as needed, and serve as project lead for new digital projects as they arise.
– Continuously propose and implement recommendations to improve the performance of our digital touchpoints — this includes ad spend, user experience, ad creative/copy, keyword targets, landing pages, webpages, etc.
– Support the Assistant Director for Media Relations in the development of online and social media content.

### Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

– Knowledge of analytics and advertising platforms such as Google, X, and Meta required; formal certification a plus.
– A team player who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– Experience editing, formatting, and creating website content, with an attention to detail.
– Outstanding communication skills and comfortable presenting data to a variety of audiences.
– A minimum of three-to-five years relevant experience with a proven track record.
– Experience working with a policy organization or on Capitol Hill is preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree required.

### How to Apply

To apply, please submit a cover letter detailing your interest in the position, resume, two digital media campaign samples, and contact information for three references to [email protected]. When applying, please write “Digital Media Manager” in the subject line. No phone calls, please.

### Salary and Benefits

Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 with a generous benefits package including health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance; 403(b) contribution; and paid time off.
