Position Summary

This is a “bring new ideas and expand the brand” kind of role. NMSDC is looking for a creative brand builder, a leader and a doer. Someone who can take complexity, ambiguity, a turbulent national political climate and a dozen competing priorities and turn them into clear, compelling and measurable work.

The Director of Marketing & Communications at NMSDC will lead day-to-day execution across brand, digital, content, public relations and event marketing, ensuring NMSDC’s mission and messaging are communicated internally and externally with clarity, consistency and impact.

You will operate as a player-coach: that means leading and mentoring a team of 2 or more and then rolling up your sleeves and doing great work: Writing. Managing Vendors. Shaping campaigns. Solving problems. Engaging audiences.

You will work closely with the Marcom VP to translate strategy into execution, leveraging the successful tactics and skills from your 10-15 years of experience and combining them with creative risk-taking to deliver the best customer experience and measurable results.

If you love creative work, thrive in fast-moving environments and care about doing work that matters, you’ll fit right in. This is mission-driven work with real national economic impact.
