Staff Position Details

The staff position is full time and exempt.

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience.

Eno provides expert research, analysis, and actionable policy recommendations for transportation professionals at all levels. Our work includes collaborating with industry stakeholders nationwide.

Director of Policy and Research

The Director leads policy initiatives, manages projects, and formulates recommendations. They must excel in communication, public speaking, and represent Eno externally.

Responsibilities

  1. Research and Writing (40%)
    • Lead policy initiatives, research, and editing.
    • Contribute to Eno Transportation Weekly and other publications.
    • Assist in educational material development.
    • Provide feedback on written products.
  2. Project Concept Generation and Management (20%)
    • Develop new research concepts and products.
    • Collaborate with development for fundraising proposals.
    • Stay updated on transportation policy developments.
  3. Team Supervision and Management (15%)
    • Mentor policy staff and oversee onboarding.
    • Manage project contractors.
    • Contribute to workplace culture and budget management.
  4. External Engagement and Communications (10%)
    • Present findings at courses, meetings, and webinars.
    • Plan and moderate policy webinars.
    • Participate in planning meetings with partners.
  5. Network Building and Interaction (10%)
    • Maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for engagement within the transportation community.
    • Foster Eno’s relationships with stakeholders.
  6. Professional Growth (5%)
    • Participate in training and development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master’s preferred.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in transportation or policy.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams.
  • Strong writing, research, and leadership skills.
