## Role Summary
This position is a key member of the Corporate Communications Team reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications. The Public Affairs Director will lead corporate communications efforts tied to policy priorities, guide advocacy engagement, and manage key third‑party stakeholders.
This role works cross‑functionally to shape and enhance Anheuser‑Busch’s corporate reputation through best‑in‑class public affairs capabilities, including media relations, message creation, coalition management, crisis response, and grassroots engagement.

– **Third‑party partnerships** — Identify partnership opportunities with key third‑party groups and opinion leaders to advance legislative priorities.
– **Issue campaign leadership** — Lead issue campaigns and corporate reputation initiatives with an emphasis on creative storytelling and content development.
– **Stakeholder communication** — Facilitate regular communication on business and public policy priorities with internal and external stakeholders.
– **Project plan execution** — Develop, lead, and drive project plans to ensure communications campaigns achieve intended results.
– **Cross‑functional collaboration** — Contribute as a key member of the Corporate Communications Team, working closely with Community Impact, Government Affairs, Internal Communications, and breweries.
– **Political awareness** — Possess political savviness to understand how the external environment impacts company priorities.
– **Issues management** — Manage issues and reactive communications in coordination with the Director of Media Relations.
– **Budget oversight** — Oversight and management of budgets.
– **Agency management** — Manage agency partners to support the work.
– **Event support** — Support internal and external events as appropriate.

## Job Qualifications
– Minimum of 7–10 years of communications experience at a large organization or leading PR agency
– Experience working in public affairs, political campaigns, or with state or federal elected officials
– Experience at or with a company with major, consumer‑facing brands
– Experience in beverage/brewing or another highly regulated industry a plus
– Ability to develop 360‑degree strategic communications plans and drive successful execution
– Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complex ideas into simple messaging
– Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build lasting partnerships
– Highly collaborative team player able to juggle multiple initiatives with a positive attitude
