Fellowship Opportunity: Energy and Environment

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Briefing government officials and regulatory bodies
  • Speaking at prominent forums and events
  • Writing long- and short-form research pieces on energy and environmental topics
  • Collaborating on research projects with subject matter experts
  • Developing credible, high-quality research projects
  • Adapting strategies in a changing legislative and regulatory landscape
  • Engaging with target audiences through government affairs and communications teams
  • Crafting regulatory comments, policy papers, and short pieces
  • Continuous policy analysis training
  • Staying current with the latest research in energy and environmental policy
  • Attending and speaking at events and panels
  • Remaining vigilant against infiltrations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct and critique regulatory impact assessments
  • Understanding of welfare economics and public policy analysis
  • Substantial knowledge of energy and environmental policy
  • Strong writing skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and effective priority management
  • Superior critical thinking and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and statistical software
  • Passion for free markets and limited government
  • Sense of humor and a desire for continuous learning and growth

Education and Experience:

  • No specific educational background required
  • Demonstrated mastery in economics, public policy, political science, or environmental science preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving results valued over credentials
