Summary of Role

The Head of Advocacy is a key leader in driving our strategy and engagement of key patient advocacy groups, physician professional societies, and key governmental organizations. This position will be accountable for building a team across advocacy and government affairs to support Lantheus’s portfolio and business objectives and continue to support a positive environment for the growth of the radiopharmaceutical industry.

This person will be an ambassador for the organization with external organizations and instill our cultural values in recruiting, retaining, and developing talent to deliver better patient outcomes. It will also be the responsibility of this position to execute continued efforts towards enterprise resource planning to ensure the long-term sustainability of the business.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Establish a team to oversee building external relationships with key advocacy stakeholders across patient groups, physician professional societies, and key state and national government organizations.
  • Develop a vision and strategy for external engagement that strengthens relationships with key advocacy stakeholder groups across nuclear medicine, neurology, oncology, and cardiology.
  • Collaborate with the Lantheus leadership team to ensure patient-centered strategies align with broader corporate objectives.
  • Ensure comprehensive policy strategies are in place to address key legislative and regulatory issues related to the radiopharmaceutical industry on both a state and federal level.
  • Monitor healthcare policy developments impacting access and patient engagement, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead strategy and engagement with key industry associations, including MITA, CORAR, and BIO.

  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and information both verbally and in writing in a persuasive and appropriate manner to all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make enterprise-wide decisions and remain persistently focused on Lantheus business priorities.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/BA required (science/business/finance); MS or MBA optional but preferred.
  • 15+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with increasing responsibility in advocacy, government affairs, public policy, and/or market access.
  • Proven track record of building multi-function teams in advocacy and government affairs.
  • Strong background in US healthcare market dynamics and evolving trends.
  • Ability to navigate and lead organizational changes and deliver results; take ownership and manage large-scale transformation programs and execute workstreams.
  • Results-oriented leader with the ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities; practical problem solver with strong prioritization skills.
  • Innovative, forward-thinking with a good grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, and the regulatory environment.
  • Strong collaborator and change agent with demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
  • Routine overnight travel based on business needs and frequent weekend work may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Oncology, including prostate cancer, or Neuroscience.
  • Clinical and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g., radiopharmaceuticals, theranostics, treatment paradigms, and future trends).
