House Majority PAC Political Associate Position
House Majority PAC is an organization designed to hold Republicans accountable and help elect more House Democrats. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.
Primary Purpose
The Political Associate reports to a Regional Political Director and assists with day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is extremely organized and wants to learn the ins and outs of campaigns and political committees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the Regional Political Director’s schedule on a daily and long-term basis, juggling internal and external meetings and conference calls; preparing meeting briefings and agendas.
- Track TV spending, polling information, fundraising reports, and advertising for assigned races.
- Draft, edit, and update race review memos and presentations on a regular basis.
- Work with the Regional Political Director to manage, track, and reconcile products moving through their assigned races.
- Create and oversee the daily clips for races assigned along with assigned interns.
- Provide additional support to the Research operations within their assigned races.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes.
- Experience interning or working on political campaigns, political consulting firms, with elected officials, campaign committees, or progressive organizations preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written intra-office communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, autonomously, and be responsive.
TRAVEL
Little to no travel will be required
SALARY
Starting at $50,000 annualized, commensurate with experience
