Salary Range:

$60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

The Media Planner position will be responsible for the planning of all media strategy, inclusive of both Digital and Traditional mediums. Planner will deep dive into local market specifics for General Consumer Market and Multicultural targets within multiple assigned area(s). This role will manage the day-to-day process of all media planning efforts for Clients of responsibility with collaboration with managers and greater planning team.

Direct Reports

The Integrated Media Planner position will be reporting directly to the McDonald’s Integrated Media Strategy Director and Associate Director. This position will have visibility into high-level strategic conversations while learning and owning daily planning and organizational tasks for the planning group.

Responsibilities

  • Supports in the development of media objectives, strategies, tactics as well as channel selection and prioritization.
  • Researches and gathers data to assist in the preparation of media planning.
  • Aids in the development of target consumer profiles and market trends.
  • Evaluates and sets communication goals both specifically by media channel and holistically.
  • Evaluates a wide range of media vehicles to determine plan application and implementation.
  • Generates and maintains planning documents such as flowcharts, budgets, program POVs, and market landscapes.
  • Directly engaged in planning all mediums including Television, Radio, Out-of-Home, Display, Social, Streaming Video/Audio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of agency/media planning experience.
  • Strong understanding of media fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and experience with Media Ocean/Prisma, Media Tools a plus.
  • Proficient in IMS, Simmons, Scarborough, Rentrak, as well as planning tools such as Clear Decisions, Kantar, MediaTools.
  • Previous experience with project management and task management a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional curiosity, critical thinking, and solution-driven capabilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks required.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
